Deli Associate

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food products in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience. Prior experience with deli slicers and scales are a plus, along with a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble deli products according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation
• Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food prep stations, display cases, and equipment
• Restock shelves, organize products, and ensure proper labeling for easy customer access
• Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality

Skills

• Food preparation skills with knowledge of food handling and sanitation protocols
• Experience operating deli slicers and scales.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment typical of quick service.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
• Previous experience in food service, grocery stores, cafés, or retail environments is preferred
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
