TOOL AND DIE MAKER

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to) :

· Repair and modify existing tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges, ensuring they meet specifications.

· Ensure that tools and dies are manufactured to very tight tolerances, often requiring the use of precision measuring instruments and equipment.

· Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines and grinders

· Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings to understand the required dimensions and tolerances of tools and dies.

· Work with other manufacturing personnel, including machinists and engineers, to ensure that tools and dies are designed and manufactured effectively.

· Test completed tools and dies to ensure they meet specifications and perform as intended.

· Work with preventative maintenance programs and keep proper maintenance records

· Ability to work 8-hour shifts, five days a week on a two-week shift rotation, with optional overtime

· RED SEAL is required
