Job Overview

Shiva Exports Limited is looking for an experienced accounting professional with the following skills and competencies to join our Canadian Team (Remotely).

Job Type : REMOTE (Full Time Permanent)

Working Hours : Monday to Saturday 6:30 PM to 3 AM (IST)

Salary:   12 Lacs annually (INR)

Note: You are required to have access to a quiet designated working area and a laptop / computer with webcam access.  You will be required to attend virtual video meetings throughout your workday.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
  • Prepare Monthly & Yearly financial statements for Management review
  • Complete ratio analysis for Financial Institutions
  • Manage and supervise a team of 3-4 accounting employees
  • Protect important information and confidential data related to the business
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing payments for accuracy and discrepancies
  • Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
  • Manage the accounting team and collaborate with other departments to manage workload efficiently while meeting all deadlines
  • Oversee the compliance of government reporting requirements including sales tax and income tax
  • Communicate key accounting matters with Management and Financial Institutions
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all internal documents and reports

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience required
  • 2+ years QuickBooks Desktop Experience required
  • Intermediate / Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Accounting degree is preferred
  • Supervisory or Management experience required in an Accounting field
  • Proven experience in account analysis, and corporate finance
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Ratio Analysis
  • Basic knowledge of Canadian Taxation
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to work across departments to drive process improvement and automation of tasks
  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
