Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team on evening/night shift. As a Heavy Truck and Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing trucks and trailers, plus various types of heavy equipment. Your expertise in diagnostics, repairs and service of heavy equipment will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Duties:

  • Perform A Service and B service on Trucks and Trailers

  • Inspect trucks and trailer to identify mechanical issues

  • Inspect heavy equipment to identify mechanical issues

  • Diagnose electrical system malfunctions and repair or replace faulty components

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication

  • Assemble and disassemble equipment components as needed

  • Use power tools to complete repairs

  • Test equipment functionality after repairs to ensure proper operation

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Mechanic or similar role

  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs efficiently

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
