Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires keen observational skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring AST-Certified Static Retail Security Guards to work at various retail locations across British Columbia. This role is ideal for individuals with strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a strong, visible security presence within assigned retail locations
  • Deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities
  • Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and conduct routine patrols
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms professionally and in accordance with training
  • Write accurate and timely shift and incident reports
  • Communicate effectively with retail staff, management, and law enforcement when necessary
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Valid Advanced Security Training (AST) Certification (Mandatory)
  • Valid British Columbia Security Worker License (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 6 months of retail or static security experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and remain calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
