We are a warm and busy family located in Burnaby Heights, seeking a reliable and caring full-time child care provider for our two young children. You will be working in our home and watching the children in our home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. This role involves engaging with children in various activities, ensuring their well-being, and supporting their developmental needs.

Hours range from 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.

Provide care for children by ensuring their safety, health, and emotional well-being.

Assist with daily routines including meal preparation, feeding, and personal hygiene.

Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with disabilities.

Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and any concerns.

Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.

Implement educational activities that align with early childhood education principles.

Changing diapers on the youngest child

Cleaning will be needed when the kids are not home yet or if there is spare time between the kids and school

Assist with bathing, dressing, and daily routines

Prepare meals and snacks for children

Previous experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting is preferred.

Familiarity with classroom management techniques is advantageous.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Background in teaching or early childhood education will be highly regarded.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of full-time child care experience (including overseas experience)

Good communication skills in English, Cantonese or Mandarin a plus

CPR/First Aid (asset, not mandatory)
