This position will be based out of Leduc, Alberta. We are looking for an exceptional individual who will be responsible for performing administrative office duties for environmental projects and business development. These deliverables and tasks may include but are not limited to, general office administration, equipment and yard management, and assisting with promotional merchandise orders. The Administrative Assistant will primarily assist the Director of Operations with daily administrative and operational errands, with additional opportunity to interact with a multi-disciplinary team of environmental professionals. The office-based role requires the candidate to be available to work on site in the Leduc office, weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of company equipment and supplies.
  • Provide administrative support for reporting deliverables.
  • Communicate with the field and office leads about assigned errands and office and field equipment orders.
  • Drive to and from various equipment vendors and maintenance service providers.
  • Perform all assigned training and follow office safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with occasional promotional merchandise orders and office event planning tasks.
  • Report to the Director of Operations and communicate workload, as well as opportunities and challenges to ensure our team continues to learn and progress.

Qualifications:

The ideal applicant will:

  • Be skilled with the use of Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
  • Be familiar with the upstream oil and gas industry and the aspects of environmental consulting businesses.
  • Possess excellent teamwork skills to work positively and collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a safety mindset, critical thinking and strong attention to detail, and a focus on efficient task execution.
  • A degree or technical diploma in an environmental discipline or office administration will be considered an asset.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 (non-GDL) driver's licence and be comfortable driving a pickup truck.
