Landscape Construction Labourer

About the Role

A Landscape Construction Labourer at Tumber plays a key role in the execution of high-quality residential landscaping projects. This position involves a range of physically demanding tasks and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards on every job site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with job site setup and cleanup, including preparing tools and organizing equipment
  • Shovel, grade, and move materials such as sand, gravel, topsoil, and mulch
  • Perform hardscaping tasks: carrying, cutting, and laying stone, brick, and precast materials
  • Assist with concrete mixing and pouring
  • Support basic carpentry work related to landscaping structures
  • Install plant materials and sod
  • Follow direction from site supervisors and contribute to a clean, safe, and productive job site
  • Maintain proper use and care of tools and equipment
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills

  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated to produce consistent, high-quality work
  • Access to reliable transportation to and from job sites (valid driver's license and vehicle preferred)
