We are currently hiring a
Bilingual Communications Officer
to join a government-sector organization made up of dedicated professionals who develop key policies, deliver high-quality programs, and provide essential services to the people of Ontario.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing strategic bilingual communication plans and materials that align with the organization's public mandate. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal proficiency in both English and French, along with proven experience in public communications and project coordination. Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage bilingual communication materials such as newsletters, brochures, one-pagers, infographics, stakeholder messages, and internal/external content.

  • Provide strategic advice and consultation to internal teams on communications planning, campaign execution, and messaging.

  • Coordinate and execute communications projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring alignment with brand voice and business objectives.

  • Monitor media and stakeholder channels for coverage related to organizational topics of interest; provide analysis and reporting.

  • Develop and recommend web and social media content strategies, ensuring consistency and accessibility in both languages.

  • Analyze communication metrics and KPIs to measure impact and inform future strategies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and effective rollout of campaigns and communications.

  • Leverage software tools and applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, web content management systems) to support the creation and dissemination of digital content.

Requirements:

  • Superior proficiency in French and English, both written and verbal (fluency required).

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a bilingual communications role.

  • Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a regulated, public-facing, or stakeholder-driven environment is an asset.

  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking and interpreting communications metrics.

  • Tech-savvy, with familiarity in digital media tools and platforms (e.g., website CMS, social media, analytics tools).
