This is a great opportunity to become a part of the Westwood Fine Carpentry team. Westwood is a well-established company (20+ years in business) with stability and long term employees. We take pride in our craftsmanship, knowledge and relationships to provide a seamless experience for our clients who trust us with their homes. Westwood mainly serves the greater Hamilton/Burlington area, occasionally extending into cottage country.

The role:

Westwood is growing and requires an experienced, mature carpenter with at least 4 years of high-level experience. The right candidate will possess the following:

  • The ability to apply their skills and experience to produce high quality work
  • Demonstrated construction experience with complete residential renovations including, but not limited to, kitchens, bathroom, basements.
  • Can complete all tasks from start to finish with attention to detail
  • Works hard with a positive, friendly attitude
  • Enjoys communicating with clients to ensure the job is done properly
  • Arrives promptly and ready to work
  • Works well with our established team
  • Experience managing the job site in collaboration with vendors, the team and clients

Requirements:

The preferred candidate must possess the following:

  • At least 4 years of demonstrated carpentry experience
  • A valid G-license with the ability to get to the Main Office (in Dundas). Onsite parking is available.
  • A Red Seal certification is preferred
  • Hand tools
  • Steel toe work boots
  • A mature, positive attitude
  • Honest, trustworthy and professional

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
