Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Kubota Tractor Snow Blower Operator to join our winter operations team. This is a seasonal, part-time role running from late October through the end of April, with the potential to transition into a full-time, year-round position for strong performers. The operator plays an essential role in maintaining safe and accessible conditions on commercial and residential properties during snow events. This position focuses on operating a Kubota tractor equipped with a front-mount snow blower, following designated routes, and using a phone-based software system for dispatch and route tracking.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Kubota tractor with front-mount snow blower to efficiently clear snow from driveways, parking areas, and narrow or confined spaces.
- Follow assigned blower routes and adapt to changing weather and site conditions to maintain high service standards.
- Use a phone-based dispatch and reporting system to receive assignments, track progress, and communicate with the operations team.
- Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections of the tractor, blower, and other attachments to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Work daytime shifts during snow events, typically 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and respond promptly to dispatch calls.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G-Class driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
- Experience operating tractors with snow blowers (or similar equipment) is required.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in snowy, icy, and low-visibility conditions.
- Physically able to work in winter weather and enter/exit the cab as needed.
- Comfortable using smartphone-based software for communication and route tracking.
- Reliable, safety-oriented, and able to respond to snow events as required.
Compensation and Growth Opportunities
- Competitive hourly wage of $32.00 to $36.00, based on experience.
