Forensic or Senior Forensic Accountant

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review and analyze financial data to find/identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Prepare financial schedules and reports for litigation/loss quantification (personal injury, fatality, family law, disability, expropriation, contract disputes, shareholder disputes and other commercial disputes)
- Perform fraud investigations, allegations of misappropriation, fraud risk assessments, fraud risk management frameworks and public sector employee investigations.
- Prepare financial schedules and reports for insured losses (cyber business interruption, property business interruption, fidelity / employee dishonesty / crime, income replacement benefits, stock losses)
- Perform financial analysis in the context of legal or potentially legal disputes
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Meet time budget and deadlines as expected per file
- Maintain appropriate legislative knowledge on an ongoing basis
- Assist with attending conferences, events, presentations and proposals
- Other duties as required
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong analytical, accounting and auditing skills
- Experience in forensic accounting
- CPA designation or working towards CPA, CBV designations an asset
- Knowledge of insurance loss quantification and claims consulting process
- Knowledge of family law, personal injury, accident benefits an asset
- Highly detail oriented, excellent organizational/time management and communication skills
- Bilingual in English and French preferred
