Overview

Our signatory contractors have upcoming work in the town of Miramichi we will be requiring apprentices and journeymen for. As a union member you will be able to work for any unionized contractors, complete with all of the benefits the union provides. We are seeking motivated and dedicated Electricians and Apprentices to join our union. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience and learning essential skills in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair. The role involves working with various tools and equipment while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
  • Support the team in building low voltage systems as needed.
  • Follow instructions from lead electricians to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to all safety protocols on job sites.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of electrical principles and concepts.
  • Achieved at least block 1 in the Construction Electrician Trade
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is a plus.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
