  Job Overview:  Reporting to the Head of Aquatics, this person will oversee a team of lifeguards and instructors, while providing safe and effective supervision of Members in and around the pool area, including prevention of accidents, performance of first aid and water safety. 

Specific duties would include, but are not limited to:
  • This position includes guarding and in-water instructing at a minimum of 20hrs per week depending on the season
  • Performance of water rescue and first aid when necessary.
  • Safe and effective supervision of the pools, splash pad and deck areas per Club rules, regulations, procedures & policies of the Health Protection & Promotion Act.
  • Ongoing evaluation and development of instructors and lifeguards, through running in service training sessions, constructive feedback and performance suggestions.
  • Completion of required daily program administration including completion of supply inventory sheets, attendance sheets, chemical checks & team evaluations. 
  • Assist on deck with program administration.  Monitor instructors to ensure classes are well organized and effectively taught.

Job Qualifications:
  • National Lifeguard.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C.
  • LSS Swim Instructor.
  • LSS Lifesaving Instructor.
  • Bronze Level Examiner is an asset.
  • First Aid Instructor/Examiner is an asset.
  • Aquatic Supervisor Training is an asset (Upon hiring you must be willing to obtain).
