DSPM is seeking a qualified property accountant to assist with the oversight, analysis and reporting functions related to an established condominium portfolio that contains both commercial and residential properties (primarily commercial).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monthly analysis and reporting functions including, but not limited to: preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports;

  • Coordinating and assisting with tasks related to the year-end audits (mainly facilitating delivery of audit documentation to third-party auditor and assist with the review and finalization of the audit package once complete);

  • Assistance with the preparation of annual operating budgets;

  • Oversight of monthly funding of reserve funds and shared facilities;

  • Ongoing review of operating performance and variance analysis;

  • Day-to-day client/unit owner correspondence;

The ideal candidate must possess the following requirements:

  • Post-secondary education with a minimum of 5-years related bookkeeping/accounting experience;

  • Previous property accounting experience is a desired asset;

  • Computer literacy (previous experience with Yardi is a desired asset);

  • Strong attention to detail;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on working in a team-based environment;

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

  • Excellent organizational, coordinating and planning skills; and,

  • Professional manner.
