At ODRA Road Sweepers, the Production & Procurement Planner plays a critical role in ensuring our US & Canada operations have the components they need, on time and at the right cost. This role combines production planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination to support manufacturing and service.

You will manage material flow across our warehouses, source and purchase parts from domestic and international suppliers, and maintain inventory accuracy to keep our builds running smoothly.

Role Overview

The Production & Procurement Planner is responsible for ensuring we have sourced sufficient materials and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective availability of components. You'll oversee inbound shipments, negotiate with vendors, and align material needs with production requirements. This role is key to balancing operational efficiency with strategic purchasing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source materials based on production schedules, sales orders, forecasts, and inventory targets
  • Negotiate and purchase materials and components from domestic and international suppliers
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to support cost savings and supply continuity
  • Plan container shipments from overseas vendors and coordinate inbound logistics
  • Monitor part availability and ensure Just-In-Time supply for production and service teams
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, lead times, and pricing in ERP system
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, purchasing, and engineering teams to align on material needs
  • Track supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues promptly
  • Support audits, year-end inventory, and continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and logistics
  • Ensure shipping documentation, labeling, and carrier coordination is handled accurately and on time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in materials planning and procurement within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
  • Experience coordinating with multiple warehouses or production locations is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally
