Description
As a Firmware Performance Engineer, your challenge is to ignite the full power of Apple hardware for demanding user experiences while operating elegantly within tightly constrained environments. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners and use a range of tools and techniques to measure, profile, and assess firmware performance. You will collaborate with hardware architects and chip design teams to drive optimizations for Apple Silicon, and influence next-generation CPUs. Engage with multiple teams, from hardware engineering to compiler, application, and frameworks teams, to drive world-class system performance.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
Strong understanding of OS fundamentals
Ability to collaborate across teams to drive development and performance optimizations
Scripting and programming skills in C/C++, Python, etc...

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in embedded software development
Experience in RTOS and firmware development
Experience with low-level performance analysis
Knowledge of modern CPU and memory architectures
Expertise with profiling tools and analysis (Instruments, VTune, etc.)
