Duties

  • Provide hands-on driving instruction to ensure students gain practical experience.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Teach traffic laws, safe driving practices, and defensive driving techniques.
  • Understand students need and provide the best driving education experience.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment during in-car lessons.
  • Ensure all instructional materials are up-to-date and relevant to current driving regulations.

Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario driving instructor's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a driving instructor is an asset. Training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Patience and adaptability to work with students of varying skills levels and backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices is essential.

DriveWise Newmarket conducts all in-car lessons by using the school car, as a candidate, just show up for your shift and make a difference in the lives of new drivers by providing them with the knowledge and skills they need.
