Job Overview:

Tropical Link Canada is a natural and organic foods company based in Burnaby. We're passionate about delivering high-quality, health-focused products to our customers across Canada—and we're looking for a part-time QA Associate who's just as enthusiastic as we are.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ⁠Assist in maintaining and managing the quality management system.
  • ⁠Write reviews and update documented procedures and policies pertaining to quality management system.
  • Conduct annual supplier verifications.
  • Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedure in order to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic self-inspection, GMP, and internal audits.
  • Investigate customer complaints and provide solutions through CAPA's.
  • Review product labels for Canada, USA to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Training and coaching company staff on GMP's HACCP and Sanitation.
  • ⁠Perform all work in accordance with all establishment regulatory compliance and safety requirements.
  • ⁠Maintain accurate documentation and records of all quality assurance activities.
  • ⁠Complete all other tasks related to the position as assigned by QAM.
  • Assist in R&D and project management activities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field. (Food Science, Biology, Chemistry)
  • ⁠1-2 year experience preferred in quality assurance roles within food and beverage industry.
  • ⁠Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
  • ⁠Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge on MS Office
  • ⁠Capable of multitasking with minimal supervision.
  • ⁠Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
  • Interest in the natural and organic food industry is a plus
