Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in creating a supportive and engaging environment for children and young adults, particularly those with disabilities. The Youth Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing programs that promote personal growth, social skills, and educational development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and a commitment to fostering inclusivity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging programs and activities tailored to the needs of youth, including those with disabilities.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where all participants feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure the well-being of all participants.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their personal goals.
  • Organize workshops, events, and outings that encourage social interaction and skill development.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant engagement and program effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to youth in various settings, promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution skills.

Experience

  • Must be born again Spirit filled believer
  • Strong work ethic, eager to serve God in the ministry
  • Creative and problem solving abilities
  • Musical ability highly desired for the praise and worship experience
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults in educational or recreational settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with teaching methodologies that engage diverse learning styles is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, and team members.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in youth services or related fields is encouraged. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is ready to make a difference in the lives of young people through dedicated support and innovative programming.

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $25.00-$37.95 per hour

Expected hours: 5 per week
