Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Weaving Lead hand, the duties and responsibilities of the Rod Machine Operator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operates and monitors wire forming equipment such as straight and cut and wire crimping machine.
  • Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Performs routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Enforces strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the plant and operates equipment properly.
  • Reads and interprets technical drawings to determine specifications for production.
  • Utilizes hand tools and logic controllers effectively during the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborates with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.
  • Maintains equipment and keeps a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Apply basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations during production.
