The Research Assistant powers Alberta Homeless Foundation's evidence engine from conception to publication. Working with minimal oversight, they design and run PRISMA/PRISMA-ScR reviews, support REB submissions, coordinate community-based studies, and help translate findings into real interventional responses. They manage, clean data, produce rigorous analyses and visuals, and contribute writing that's submission-ready serving as a reliable collaborator who turns questions into impact for the communities we serve. We recognize this as an excellent opportunity for students / young researches to get hands-on experience developing their proficiency.
- Familiar with PRISMA and PRISMA-ScR guidelines, research ethics with humans (TCPS 2)
- Recruits participants from underserved population
- Comfortable working with both oversight and high initiative
- Strong attention to detail throughout all tasks
- Familiar with ethics processes
- Familiar across the research lifecycle: conception → protocol → data → analysis → publication
- Community-based research focus with potential co-authorship/publication
- Able to support research that informs/leads interventional responses
- Collaborative team player; clear, timely communication
