Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers who speaks Cantonese or Mandarin to provide essential support and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role involves delivering personalized care to individuals with varying needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring hospice or dementia care. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive caregiving, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.

Duties

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as prescribed
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities and companionship to promote mental well-being
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals
  • Assist with transportation to appointments or errands when required
  • Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to

Skills

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments preferred
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior care, hospice care, or working with people with disabilities
  • Knowledge of dementia care and managing individuals with cognitive impairments
  • Ability to perform caregiving duties such as medication administration and meal preparation effectively
  • Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility support
  • Compassionate communication skills and patience when working with vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work independently while following established care protocols
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of clients across different times of the day
