Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and strong analytical skills to support our financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies in billing or payment issues.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
  • Maintain accurate data entry of invoices and payments into accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support month-end closing processes.
  • Conduct analysis of accounts payable data to identify trends and improve processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess financial information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the construction field can be a plus.
