Job Summary

We are seeking a certified Plumber/Gas Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have journeyman certificates in both trades. Candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and gas codes, safety standards, and technical skills to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing/ gas systems including piping, boilers, HWT repairs/installations.
  • Read and interpret schematics, and technical drawings to plan plumbing/gas layouts.
  • Must be able to utilize all tools, power tools and equipment to complete installations and repairs.
  • Perform maintenance tasks plumbing and gas systems related to plumbing components such as Boilers and HWT for commercial settings.
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues with plumbing/gas systems and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for installation or repair projects.
  • Collaborate with construction, and other provincial teams to ensure plumbing/gas work meets specifications and inspection work. Must have general Technical Safety knowledge.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each project.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plumbing/gas and maintenance roles.
  • Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in plumbing systems, gas connections, boiler work, and schematics reading.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations, meters, breaker panels, boiler systems.
  • Physical strength for heavy lifting and working in various environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Certification, Red Seal required as a plumber/gas fitter. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working in the plumbing and gas sector.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
