We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team at Travelodge Hotel and Perkins Restaurant in Sudbury. This role is crucial in delivering outstanding dining experiences that align with our commitment to value and guest satisfaction.

NOTE: Our ideal candidate must have their Smart Serve Licensing and their Food Handlers Certification. Candidates who do not hold these licenses must be willing to obtain them before beginning work. Candidates must be proficient in the English language. Proficiency in French is considered an asset. Weekend availability is a necessity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages to guests with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Operate POS systems efficiently to process orders and payments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food supplies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Uphold the values of Perkins/Travelodge by creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.53-$29.65 per hour
