Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The Plumber will ensure that all work is completed to code and meets safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians when necessary to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Adhere to local building codes and regulations while performing all plumbing work.
- Handle heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plumber with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Valid commercial driving license preferred for transportation of materials and equipment.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing work.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting as needed in various job situations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
