This is not your average Product Management role. DarkVision's Product Operations Managers have a broad range of responsibilities that require a high degree of technical acuity and business acumen. The successful candidate will have significant influence on the development and commercialization of our highly advanced ultrasound imaging devices and how they are brought to market.

This role will be based out of DarkVision's head office in Vancouver, Canada. Reporting to our Director of Product, the successful candidate will be involved in managing the continuous improvement, strategy, and product/project roadmapping of our industry-leading downhole imaging technologies as we continue to expand into new geographies and applications.

What You Will Do
Product Development - Oversee the details of product development:
- Help manage tradeoffs from developers/engineers
- Attend sprint planning and evaluate value vs. effort
- Ongoing improvement of existing deliverables
Data Analysis - Sales Liaison - Translate Sales needs to the Data Analysis and Data Development ("Data") teams, and help Sales understand analysis details and limitations:
- Get trained in our data analysis software and process, help find opportunities for continuous improvement that align with the product roadmap
- Deliverable matrix updates - ensure sales/customers knows what the product is and ensure Data understands what to deliver
- Support major risk/value jobs (e.g. log-offs / trials), major client friction scenarios, and detailed inquiries
Product Specifications & Testing:
- Provide guidance and direction to Applications Engineers to collect lab data and process field data to determine performance specifications
- Benchmark new features and assess performance
Product Training and Thought Leadership:
- Provide technical training for Sales on new products
- Maintain internal Wiki for product knowledge
- Provide information to Data training team for net new features/processes to fast-track adoption
- Create buzz around product launches by writing content for whitepapers
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Oil & Gas industry experience in areas such as production engineering, completions engineering, or well integrity
- Experience in business or commercial capacities such as product/project justification, applications engineering, or technical sales
- Post secondary education in Engineering or a STEM field
What Will Put You Ahead
- Prior experience in ultrasonic or other NDT technologies
- Experience with products that combine HW, SW, and data analytics
- Experience managing projects or products in a start-up or scale-up small to medium sized company environment
- Articulate, concise, and direct communicator
- Strong business acumen - knows when to push the needle and how to get stakeholders aligned
- Pragmatic and action-oriented - get to the point and root cause quickly; not one to over structure, plan, analyze, and discuss ad nauseam
General Salary Range
For this role, we anticipate a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 as we are open to candidates from a wide range of career levels. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
