Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Help team member to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, handle cashiering duties, and ensure a clean and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer interaction while contributing to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
  • Prepare food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change efficiently
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food prep surfaces and equipment
  • Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed during food handling and serving
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally

Requirements

FULL AVAILABILITY DURING WINTER HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
  • Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
