Bel-Air Toyota is looking for a FULL-TIME LEVEL 3 APPRENTICE

Position overview:

The Automotive Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn and perform vehicle repairs and maintenance. This role provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on training and professional growth in a supportive and dynamic environment in hopes of becoming a license technician.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to help troubleshoot and identify vehicle issues.
  • Learn to maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Support the team in ensuring all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair status and any additional work needed.
  • Ensure shop, tool room, benches, etc. are cleaned at the end of each workday.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license is required. (ability to drive standard and automatic is an asset).
  • Registered with College of trades is an asset.
  • Strong interest in the automotive industry and desire to build a career as an automotive technician.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as a part of a team.
