Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Owner Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate truck to transport freight across designated routes.
  • starting at Loblaws DC in East Gwillimbury/New Market
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage and updating driver app.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Use of Driver tracking/ dispatching App, - Appian,
  • Slip seat option available, have your truck run for 24 hours with 2 drivers.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid AZ license
  • Previous experience handling freight, including knowledge of proper loading techniques and safety protocols.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
  • 2 years minimum driving experience, clean abstract
