Smart Clinic is looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) who is professional, self-motivated, and carries a friendly positive attitude. Clear communication is a must, as well as being able to remain cool, calm and collected in high-pressure situations. Medical office assistants (MOA) have a variety of different roles in the Medical Clinic. MOAs will be assigned their role by the Clinic Manager and report directly to the Clinic Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The receptionist will sit at the front desk and be the first point of contact for patients entering the clinic.

Duties include:

· Answering multi-line phones

· Schedule patient appointments

· Check-in patients as they have arrived for appointments

· Ensure contact and demographic information for each patient is entered appropriately in the

· electronic medical record (EMR)

· Greeting patients

· Obtaining appropriate information to schedule appointments

· Charting and keeping up with data entry for incoming faxes and scans using an EMR system

· Assisting medical practitioners as needed and follows the given direction.

The desired qualification includes:

· Accredited Medical Office Assistant Certificate

· Communication and customer relation skills would be considered an asset

· 1-2 years of experience in medical office environment

· Experience on an EMR System: Med Access

· Base skills of multitasking, prioritizing, problem-solving and being team orientated.

· Multilingual- Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, English (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years working in a Medical environment

  • Clinic-based: 1 year (Preferred)
