Business Development Representative

Overview
Our client in Burnaby is looking for a motivated and curious Business Development Representative to join their growing Sales team. You'll be the first point of contact for new prospects — identifying opportunities, qualifying leads, and helping expand the company's footprint in the Data & AI ecosystem.
This is a Hybrid role and requires you to be in the Burnaby office, 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting across target accounts in Financial Services, SaaS, and Energy sectors.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads through discovery and research.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to book meetings and develop opportunity pipelines.
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene, notes, and cadence activity.
- Support campaign execution (email, LinkedIn, event follow-ups).
- Represent the company at industry events and partner programs (Microsoft, Dataiku, Snowflake).
Requirements
- 1–2 years in SaaS or IT services sales, preferably in B2B technology.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Coachable, persistent, and a self-starter mindset.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
- Passion for AI, cloud, and emerging tech.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
