Manshadi Pharmacy, established in 1999, is an independent compounding pharmacy in Kamloops, BC. We are a locally owned and operated pharmacy dedicated to providing health and convenience services, with a strong focus on customer-centric care.

As a growing company, our community pharmacy specializes in seniors and diabetic care, mental health and addictions, pain management, immunizations, and specialty compounding. We collaborate closely with local physicians and healthcare teams. We empower patients to better manage their health through services such as medication reviews, blood pressure testing, blood glucose testing, and patient conversations.

Since opening our first pharmacy in 1999, we have maintained our position as a key player and a friendly local neighborhood pharmacy. We uphold the highest standards of patient care by continuously improving our practices, enhancing professional development, and implementing operational efficiencies. We utilize a state-of-the-art Arxium strip packaging system for both unit-dose and multi-dose packaging, along with a Synmed machine that boasts 99.99% accuracy in blister packaging. Our pharmacy automation, efficiency, and accuracy allow our pharmacists and technicians to dedicate more quality time to patients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, BC registered and licensed Pharmacist with experience to join our team in Kamloops, BC. The ideal candidate is a professional, patient-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and regulatory compliance.

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in patient care by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and supporting patients in understanding their medication regimens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Provide clinical services such as medication reviews, and vaccinations.
  • Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy assistants and technicians.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities.
  • Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in pharmacotherapy.
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal pharmacy laws and College of Pharmacists of British Columbia standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacist license (in good standing) with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Maintain open and effective communication to ensure smooth team collaboration.
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to team success.
  • Exhibit reliability by consistently meeting expectations and following through on commitments.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independent effectively and in a team.
  • Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
