Purpose of Role: The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, representing and supporting the Weir organization. They identify and secure opportunities to sell our products and services. As the main resource for customer concerns and requests, they ensure that our service meets the highest standards and achieves customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Act as key customer contact and conduit to represent, support, secure opportunities and sell products and services provided by the Weir organization
  • Drive New Business: Develop new business and increase opportunities for Weir's product range with responsible accounts by establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with customer's employees (reliability, maintenance, operations).
  • Create Forecasts and Business Plans: Provide accurate forecasts weekly and monthly to management. Create a Business Plan for the assigned accounts that covers all focused market segments, product technologies & services.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain solid understanding of all equipment or materials in the Weir product portfolio to provide technical and maintenance support, including technical problem solving on-site.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Account Management/Business Development experience
  • Mining industry experience
