Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Duct Installer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial HVAC ductwork installation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading mechanical drawings, fabricating and installing sheet metal ducts, and ensuring all work meets industry standards and building codes. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient job site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and secure residential and commercial HVAC duct systems, including sheet metal, flex duct, and insulation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and fabricate duct components using hand tools and power tools.
  • Install hangers, supports, dampers, grilles, diffusers, and related HVAC components.
  • Inspect duct systems for proper airflow, alignment, and installation quality.
  • Perform repairs, modifications, and replacements on existing duct systems.
  • Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, builders, and other trades on-site.
  • Complete daily reports, time sheets, and documentation as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Duct Installer or HVAC Sheet Metal Worker.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, duct design, fabrication, and installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with sheet metal tools, fabrication equipment, and installation hardware.
  • Familiarity with building codes, HVAC standards, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
