Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aqua Fitness Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading Aqua fitness classes and promoting a healthy lifestyle to our members. This role requires a strong commitment to fitness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire individuals of all fitness levels.

Duties

  • Conduct engaging and effective aqua fitness classes that cater to various skill levels.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Monitor and encourage participants throughout workouts to maintain motivation and proper form.
  • Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, techniques, and best practices.
  • Promote health and wellness initiatives within the community.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current certification in Alberta Fitness with the Aquatics Exercise Specialty or Certified with Canadian Aqua fitness Leaders Alliance (CALA) or YMCA Aqua Fitness Certified.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, anatomy, and nutrition.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to adapt workouts for individuals with varying abilities or limitations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and foster a supportive community.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and helping others achieve their fitness goals.
