Summary

Wapiti Gravel Suppliers, a division of NPA Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic, APPRENTICE WELDER  (3rd, or 4th year) to work full-time in our Grande Prairie location.

Key Responsibilities Understanding of welding tools and equipmentAbility to learn and apply knowledge of safety procedures, basic welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick), and blueprint readingAbility to learn and apply knowledge of advanced welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding symbolsAbility to learn and apply knowledge of welding fabrication, repair processes, and non-destructive testing methodsAbility to learn and apply knowledge of complex welding procedures and project management skillsAbility to work safely and efficientlyOther duties as required Qualifications and Requirements 3rd or 4th year apprentice welder2 years of prior working experience is an assetPhysically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basisKnowledge of various types of construction equipment is an assetPrior experience working within a paving company is a definite assetMust comply with Drug and Alcohol testing requirementsAbility to work overtime as required What's In It For You?
