We are currently seeking the Center Director/Manager role. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.

The School Management and Administration functions are important team leaders to ensure daily school operations and decision making are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.

The School Director is responsible for the correct and successful interpretation and implementation of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act Child Care Licensing Regulations. The School Director's understanding and application of this legislation is central to his or her role. The School Director's role is to inspire his or her team members to become better Teachers, and to facilitate the implementation of the school educational method and philosophy. The School Director is the only person who is constantly immersed in the Academics PreKindergarten curriculum, new developments, educational strategies, and materials. The School Director is the pure representation of the teaching method, its philosophy, and its application.

They are outstanding communicators and planners who will be interacting with both parents and various stakeholders on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five years' progressively responsible, professional child development experience, including minimum two years of supervisory experience
  • Hold and maintain a Level 1 First Aid Certificate
  • Hold and maintain FoodSafe BC Certification
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Computer proficiency - proficient in Google Suite and other required software
  • Professional demeanor and presentation
  • Ability to identify trends and planning of resources
  • Ability to lead a diverse backgrounds of team members
  • Ability to mediating conflict
  • Ability to work with diverse academic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
