Bridgeview – Maintenance Worker Position

Bridgeview is seeking skilled and motivated applicants for the Maintenance Worker role. This position is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our plant operations. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and building systems.

Key Attributes

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform basic electrical work, plumbing, and minor carpentry
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Professional, dependable, and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments

Core Responsibilities

A successful candidate will be able to:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on propane, electric, and diesel forklifts
  • Service and maintain company work vehicles
  • Safely handle and fill propane cylinders
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
  • Maintain and repair gasoline and diesel-powered equipment
  • Replace and maintain lighting systems (bulbs, ballasts, fixtures)
  • Conduct maintenance on plant paint equipment
  • Use service manuals to troubleshoot plant equipment issues
  • Communicate professionally with manufacturers for technical support and troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and upgrades
  • Ensure machinery is serviced to manufacturer standards
  • Carry out building maintenance, including roofing, plumbing, cladding, and flooring repairs
