The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator is responsible for loading materials into machines for production, adjusting machine speeds during production, and inspecting the objects produced to ensure quality and suitability per customer requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Performing set-up of and operating of SMT machine, including machine adjustments, per manufacturing standards at company standard operating procedures
  • Monitoring the sequence of events via the control panel and indicators.
  • Replenishing supplies and components per standard operating procedures as required.
  • Conducting general machine cleaning and maintenance as required
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety policies and general ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions regularly
  • All other duties as may be assigned

Experience & Education:

  • Successful completion of Secondary School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2-years' experience as a SMT Operator
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing

Skills & Abilities:

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanical operations
  • Encourages and demonstrates a strong focus on delivering for customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and adapting to competing priorities with strong task prioritization.
  • Works well as an individual contributor in a team-based environment
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
