About the role

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Leasing Specialist will work with the site teams to find prospective tenants for our properties. With a focus on building relationships this role will be committed to ensuring tenant pipelines and targets are being met and working with the team to assure our residents get the best experience in our homes.

Hourly Wage Range: 20.00-$23.00 per hour

What you're great at

  • Excellent customer service & communication skills.
  • Excellent at building and maintaining relationships with prospects.
  • Ability to work in a quick paced environment
  • Excellent negotiating and problem solving skills

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating and conducting all leasing tours and leasing related events.
  • Conducting background checks, credit cheques, landlord reference checks, and ensure timely communication is provided to applicants.
  • Screening and following up with qualified prospective tenants.
  • Proactively build and maintain a tenant pipeline
  • Process lease applications and ensuring all information is entered into our system.
  • Facilitating showings of available units highlighting the key differentiators.
  • Collecting and organizing important documents and payments.

What we're looking for

  • 1-2 years of previous leasing experience or experience in a similar role
  • Previous sales, marketing or customer service experience is considered an asset
  • Experience using Yardi or property management software is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
