Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Overhead Door Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and roll-up doors for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain a variety of overhead doors, roll-up doors, automatic doors, dock levelers, and related hardware.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues related to door systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Provide clear communication to customers regarding work performed, issues identified, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Drive company vehicle to service locations in a safe and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in overhead door installation or repair preferred (training available for the right candidate).
  • Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with electrical components.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
