Patternmaker

Qualification:

  • Must have experience working with PATTERNSMITH program
  • Must have a thorough understanding of patternmaking either from experience or schooling as a tailor, draftsperson or other applicable field
  • Must have good English communication skills
  • Must have strong high school math and trigonometry
  • Must have intermediate computer skills
  • Preferred experience using an industrial sewing machine
  • Preferred basic understanding of industrial sewing methods
  • Ability to learn new skills and quickly adapt to changing design requirements

Responsibilities

  • Draft or modify various patterns from field measurements, including: simple repetitive designs, complex multi-layered patterns, 3D enclosures in 2D
  • Communicate effectively with team to refine individual designs
  • Interpret simple piping schematics
  • Calculate square footage of product in each design
  • Use creativity to tackle multi layer, multi component designs
  • May operate and maintain CAM plotter and other CAM machines
  • May arrange and consolidate plotted design pieces
