We are in search of a Payroll Administrator with combined skills working as an HR generalist.
Must Have Skills:
- 5 years of experience working in a combined role – payroll and HR – ideally in a small to medium-sized company.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
- Experience working with payroll and HRIS software such as ADP, Ceridian, BambooHR.
- Experience in HR such as onboarding, employee relations, and policy administration.
- Microsoft software skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Great communication/collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have's:
- Payroll certification
- HR diploma or degree
Duties:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage employee data in our payroll system, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions.
- Prepare and submit all required payroll tax filings.
- Handle year-end payroll activities, including T4s and other tax forms.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Assist with the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding.
- Maintain and update employee files and HR records.
- Coordinate and support various HR initiatives, such as performance reviews and training programs.
- Assist with drafting and updating company policies.
- Act as a key point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, policies, and general HR matters.
- Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with all labour laws and regulations.
