Cyclone Manufacturing (A Mubea Aviation Company) is a vertically integrated full-service provider of 3-5 axis machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending, welding and minor sub-assemblies of aerospace structural components to the largest aerospace companies such as Boeing, AIDC, Bombardier, Embraer, FACC, GE, IAI, Liebherr, Lockheed Martin, MHI, SAAB, Stelia, Spirit AeroSystems and Triumph Aerostructures. Job Overview
Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineer with preferable aerospace experience and/or manufacturing process to work under quality manager, and liaison between quality, engineering and operations employees to focus on new processing technology implementation, improving current process efficiency, material flow, labor productivity, quality, safety and space utilization. The position is responsible for contributing knowledge in material physical testing (metallographic), performing gaps between OEM standards/specifications and current processes, creating process charts, performing analysis, developing solutions, managing implementation projects, integrating systems with processes, help provide training, and measuring quality metrics.
Ideal Candidate – Key Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing and/or material testing
- Experience with advanced materials analytical methods
- Knowledge of quality control methods and tools (TQM, FMEA)
- Knowledge of physical metallurgy and experience in metallographic testing/investigations
- Background in material science, with working knowledge of aluminum, steel, and titanium alloys
- Understanding of production or special process planning
- Experience conducting and analyzing Process Capability Studies and implementing SPC
- Ability to assist with and manage projects involving cross-functional teams
- Understanding or experience with AS9100/ISO9001, Nadcap special processes, and Customer Product/Quality Management Audits
- Understanding of Six Sigma (MPC), 5S, and Lean Manufacturing quality initiatives
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project, and Access
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a goal-oriented environment
Qualification Requirements (Minimum):
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace or chemical engineering with major focus in material sciences Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment Experience with manufacturing, waste management, environmental engineering.
- Knowledge of general, Ontario and local regulations like Environmental Protection Act.
- Knowledge of REACH & ROHS regulation.
- Experience with creating and submission of the emission reports and manifest for hazardous waste.
- Knowledge of Technical Standards & Safety Authority regulations.
