Duties

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver timely analytics solutions.
  • Design and optimize database structures utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using Talend or similar tools to consolidate data from multiple sources for analysis.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis using SQL, R, Python, and VBA to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for analytics projects from planning through deployment and maintenance.
  • Develop database models and schemas with a focus on linked data concepts to enhance data integration across platforms.
  • Create detailed documentation including Visio diagrams for system architecture and process workflows.
  • Engage in business analysis activities to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Utilize Bash (Unix shell scripting) for automation tasks related to data processing pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming along with experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes using Talend or similar platforms; familiarity with database design principles is a plus.
  • Programming skills in R, Python, VBA, or Bash for advanced data analysis and automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and SDLC best practices for analytics projects.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis techniques to gather requirements effectively and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Experience working with linked data concepts to enhance data interoperability across systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets through strong analysis skills and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Nice-to-have skills include expertise in Visio for process modeling, experience with Oracle databases, knowledge of analysis tools like Analysis Services, and familiarity with database design principles.
