Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is seeking experienced registered nurses to join nursing teams in First Nations communities in Alberta.
As an integral part of the team, you will carry out a full scope of practice and provide a broad range of services unique to community nursing with ISC. You will work alongside a talented team of nurses, other health professionals, and community members dedicated to delivering quality care in a culturally safe way.
Nurse Practitioners deliver comprehensive primary health care services to clients at every stage of life that may include autonomous diagnosis and illness treatment, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications and performing minor medical procedures. They educate clients and their families about healthy living, disease prevention and managing illness, while incorporating new knowledge into their practice. All Nurse Practitioners will have access to supports from Nurse Practice Consultants and a Nurse Practitioner community of practice.

• Persons residing in Canada, and Canadian citizens and Permanent residents abroad.
NB: Preference will be given to Veterans first, and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
Experience:
• Two years of independent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (in the last five years) in one or more of the following areas: Acute Care, Intensive Care, Primary Care Clinic*
NB: Primary Care Clinic* defined as clinic setting where a variety of professionals are accountable for addressing a large majority of personal health care needs.
Locations:
You will be flown via Indigenous Services Canada charters to your assigned community for the duration of your rotation. Work posts include remote and isolated First Nations communities within Alberta:
• Chateh
• Fox Lake
• Garden River
• John D'Or Prairie
Employment type:
• Opportunities for part-time and full-time.
Rotation:
• Travel/outpost nursing rotations may vary and will include a combination of days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Salary range:
A pensionable annual base salary of $120,156 to $136,540 for full-time positions (plus applicable allowances)
NB: Salary and applicable allowances will be prorated based on scheduled work hours and may vary depending on work location.
As of September 2022, ISC's nursing recruitment and retention allowances significantly increased. As an ISC nurse, you could be eligible to receive:
• Up to $6,750 for the initial recruitment allowance provided one-month after employment
• Up to $9,750 provided after twelve months of employment
• Up to $16,500 annually as a retention allowance starting at year 2

Services aux Autochtones Canada (SAC) est à la recherche d'infirmiers ou infirmières autorisé(e)s d'expérience pour se joindre à son équipe de soins infirmiers dans les communautés autochtones en Alberta.
En tant que partie intégrante de l'équipe, vous exercerez un champ de pratique complet et fournirez une vaste gamme de services unique aux soins infirmiers dans les communautés avec SAC. Vous travaillerez aux côtés d'une équipe talentueuse de personnel infirmier, de professionnels de la santé, et de membres de la communauté voués à la prestation de soins de qualité culturellement sécurisants.
Les infirmier(ière)s practition(ne)s fournissent des services de consultation sur place et à distance à l'équipe de soins de santé de la population et de soins primaires. Elles ou ils prodiguent des soins de santé primaires complets aux patients de tous âges et peuvent notamment prononcer des diagnostics et traiter des maladies, ordonner des tests et interpréter les résultats, prescrire des médicaments et effectuer certaines interventions médicales mineures. Elles ou ils sont chargés de sensibiliser les patients et leur famille à l'adoption d'un mode de vie sain, ainsi qu'à la prévention et la gestion des maladies, et d'intégrer de nouvelles connaissances à la pratique. Les infirmier(ière)s practition(ne)s ont accès au soutien de consultants en soins infirmiers et à une communauté d'infirmier(ière) practition(ne).
Qui est admissible:
• Personnes résidant au Canada, et citoyens canadiens et résidents permanents à l'étranger.
NB : La préférence sera d'abord accordée aux anciens combattants, puis aux citoyens canadiens et aux résidents permanents.
Expérience:
• Deux années d'expérience clinique indépendante en tant qu'infirmier(ère) autorisé(e) (au cours des cinq dernières années) dans un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants : Soins aigus, soins intensifs, clinique de soins primaires*
NB: Clinique de soins primaire* défini comme établissement où divers professionnels sont responsables de répondre à la grande majorité des besoins des patients en matière de soins de santé personnels.
Lieu :
Vous serez transporté par avion via des vols nolisés de Services aux Autochtones Canada vers la communauté qui vous est assignée pendant la durée de votre rotation. Les postes de travail incluent les communautés éloignées et isolées des Premières Nations de l`Alberta:
• Chateh
• Fox Lake
• Garden River
• John D'Or Prairie
Type d'emploi:
• Possibilités de temps partiel et de temps plein.
Rotation:
• Les rotations d'infirmières en voyage/postent avancé peuvent varier et comprendra une combinaison de jours, de soirées, de nuits et de week-ends.
Échelle salariale:
Un salaire de base annuel ouvrant droit à une pension de $ à $ pour les postes à temps plein (plus les indemnités applicables).
NB : Le salaire et les indemnités applicables seront calculés au prorata en fonction des heures de travail prévues et peuvent varier selon le lieu de travail.
Depuis septembre 2022, les indemnités de recrutement et de maintien en poste des infirmières d'ISC ont considérablement augmenté. En tant qu'infirmière ISC, vous pourriez être admissible à recevoir:
• Jusqu'à 6 750 $ pour l'indemnité de recrutement initial versait un mois après l'emploi
• Jusqu'à 9 750 $ versés après douze mois d'emploi
• Jusqu'à $ par année à titre d'allocation de rétention à partir de la deuxième année
NB : Tous indemnités de recrutement et de maintien applicables seront calculés au prorata en fonction des heures de travail prévues et peuvent varier selon le lieu de travail.
