Fallowfield Tree Farm is a family-owned and operated tree farm specializing in high-quality [evergreens, ornamental trees, shade trees, shrubs, etc.]. We serve landscapers, garden centers, contractors, and individual homeowners across Ottawa and the surrounding area. With a passion for healthy trees and outstanding customer service, we're growing fast and looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team.

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for building strong customer relationships, processing orders, and supporting the sales team from our office or sales desk. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, answering inquiries, preparing quotes, and ensuring a smooth sales process from start to finish.

Duties

  • Respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries from customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Provide accurate product information, pricing, and availability.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes and sales orders.
  • Assist customers with product selection based on site needs, season, and budget.
  • Coordinate with the inventory and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery or pick-up.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales data in the CRM system.
  • Proactively reach out to dormant accounts or leads to generate new business.
  • Collaborate with the outside sales team on larger accounts or landscaping projects.
  • Stay up-to-date on current tree inventory, seasonal changes, and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Previous inside sales, customer service, or nursery/landscaping experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge or interest in trees, horticulture, or agriculture is a big plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, POS systems, CRM software).
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a customer-first mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
