Job description

Welcome to Apex Security, Grande Prairie's only locally owned Full-Service Security Provider.

We are looking for responsible, dedicated, and highly motivated security professionals to fill a variety of dynamic positions.

Currently, we are seeking an individual for the full-time position of Security Dispatcher.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cameras for any suspicious activity
  • Type multiple daily reports and submit them to clients and Managers
  • Conduct safety calls for Apex employees and third parties
  • Dispatch alarms promptly
  • Answer the phone and filter the information to the right person
  • Conduct other administrative tasks as assigned by Management

The Right Candidate Would Possess:

  • The ability to stay calm under pressure
  • The ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • The ability to type 60 WPM
  • The ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Experience with a two-way radio and 10-codes an asset
  • Must be willing to work evenings, nights, and weekends

We are looking for a night owl and are eager to train the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
